It was founded by the Psidians on a hill overlooking the Aksu Valley; within the borders of Çamlık Village. It is an important city of Psidia. BURDUR ARCHEOLOGY MUSEUM

Burdur Museum; which was founded in 1956 and reorganized in 2001; has been recovered from the excavations of Hacılar, Kuruçay, Höyücek Höyüks, Boubon; Kibyra and Sagalassos, and gained through confiscation and purchase. Kibyra Ancient City is located on three dominant hills separated; from each other by deep cliffs in Horzum neighborhood of Burdur Gölhisar district.
The settlement area of the city is quite large. Undoubtedly, the buildings are arranged symmetrically; terraced on a hill, dominating the view of the lake and the plain; and each building is placed in such; a way that it does not cut the view of the other. It constitutes an important ancient city of the first age with its theatre, temple; agora, city walls, gymnasium and other structures.
