In Kapadokya , when the first light of the morning is heavy, a ridiculous smile will appear on your face. Sip your coffee while watching the moment when the balloons start to heat up slowly. I say to those who ask what kind of place is Cappadocia, “This is a fascinating place.” I say. Cappadocia really serves you as if it presents a visual show, especially in the mornings. Goreme, which will be on our list of places to visit in Cappadocia, is like this. in Urgup. In Uchisar. Therefore, I will describe what you need to see in the region as if they were different cities in my own way. Because although all of them are essentially the same, the texture, smell and color of each region is different.

Uçhisar
It is much quieter than other regions. Located on the Silk Road of the time, Uçhisar is a place known as the cradle of trade, art and culture. For some reason, most travel enthusiasts skip Uçhisar. But my advice to you. Do not leave here without seeing Uçhisar.
The view is great. It was very windy but all Cappadocia is under your feet..

Pigeon Valley
Especially since the fertilizers in the region are very productive, pigeons build their nests in this valley. We, too, greet these beautiful animals in every corner.
It is a very beautiful place as a place. One is opening up. There are areas to take photos. Only cafe prices were a little cheap, I paid 10 TL for a cup of tea, I ordered it without asking the price, it was my fault. Attention to the cafe, the rest of the places are amazing. By the way, there is a shop downstairs where you can buy a wide variety of souvenirs.

uçhisar Castle
The first choice of those who want to see Cappadocia from a hill is right at the top of the region. The geography of Cappadocia under your feet and the Erciyes mountain in front of you welcomes you. Uchisar Castle is seen in all its grandeur when it is further away before it reaches it… In front of it lies the Güvercinlik Valley. Uçhisar Castle is overcrowded on holidays, and parking can be a problem for those arriving by car. The surroundings are touristic and very beautiful.
Nobody lives in the castle anymore, but there were people who lived in the past. The reason why no one lives in such a beautiful 160-meter-high castle is the soft soil structure.
Located just below the castle, Cevizli is a place I like very much with its fairy chimneys and trekking routes.

Kocabag wine house Uchisar
Thanks to its fertile grapes, Cappadocia is also a developed region in terms of wine. Various kinds of grapes and wines made from grapes are produced in the gazebos established on hundreds of acres of land. Growing Emir, Narince, Kalecik Karası and Öküzgözü grapes in a 64-decare vineyard in the Yeşilyurt Village of Cappadocia, Kocabağ Wines produces the most delicious wines of the region from these grapes. The history of Kocabağ Wines dates back to 1972.
In fact, many films were shot especially in Kocabağ winery.

Göreme
It can be considered the heart of the Cappadocia region. But rather than the place to see, it attracts you with its cafes and restaurants to discover. It is one of my favorite places to..
Destination “Valley of Love”.
By the way, the most common thing in the region, I think, are fairy chimneys. Then come the valleys. They are already asking you: “Which valley would you like to go to?” saying.
For some reason, we prefer the valley of love. We get lost in the natural beauties of Cappadocia for 1 hour.
By the way, the real name of “Valley of Love” is “Valley of Bağlıdere”. The locals call it “Valley of Love” for some reason. When you go, ask a question to see why.
You will be surprised to hear his answer. By the way, as I said, when you go to the Moonlight horse farm, if you say we came through “Birhayalinpesinde”, they will give you a discount. I hope we have made a small contribution.

aydın kırağı veya aşıklar tepesi
After fighting for an hour on the horse, we say let’s take a breather. The famous Lovers Hill is our first address.
From this point, we can see the entire Cappadocia region, bloody and alive. Weather is nice. The wind is pure. The scenery is admirably beautiful.

open air museum
After wandering around for a while, we continue on the road by car. The open-air museum right next to it is our next stop.
All of these places I have already mentioned are side by side. I run as soon as I get out of the car. Why am I running? This is the apple of the eye of Cappadocia. If not, it’s a must. Nevşehir is one of the must-see places among fairy chimneys.

If we said museum, it is an open air museum. So think of it as a specially protected area. Open area. There are also 6 churches. There are also 2 monasteries. Why is this place important?
Because it is a place where only the clergy of the period were educated and settled their lives. The settlement where they built churches, chapels and everything they needed to survive.
But it is very valuable, especially in terms of religious values. The 6 churches in the open air museum are: Yılanlı Church, St. Barbara Church, Dark Church, Çarıklı Church and Tokalı Church.

CAVUSIN VILLAGE
The place where the fairy chimneys are most concentrated is between Çavuşin. Therefore, Çavuşin is the most beautiful place in Cappadocia. By the way, all of these regions I have mentioned are already side by side. It is seen in the view of the roads of the old mosque roads and the old village inside. Also, it should definitely be seen in Çavuşin, which is located here.

PAŞABAĞI VE ZELVE
You know, in movies, tiny hats like mushrooms are shown on the tops of slender fairy chimneys. Here are the most beautiful ones in Paşabağı.
The house houses private churches and is famous for carving into the rocks. All fairy chimneys pose as you think. Very nice. This is great. I’m doing some research on the carvings in the fairy chimneys. Needles that once lived here provided shelter in the rocks carved into it. That’s what the locals say.

Zelve open air museum
The region is exquisite. Enormous. Fantastic. My compliments go further. It’s so beautiful. Then, after Paşabağı, our stop is Zelve open air museum. In fact, it is a place famous for its carvings on the rocks. The monasteries inside are from the 9th century. The paintings and embroidery inside are wonderful. That’s why we spend at least 2 hours exploring this region.

Devrent
After Zelve open air museum, we make our way to a famous place. You know, that camel-like fairy chimney.
Here we go to Devrent just to see him. While we are on the Ürgüp-Avanos road, it is already on the left of our road.

ÜRGÜP
This place is connected to Nevşehir center. If I tell you where Göreme is in terms of latitude and longitude, it is located at latitude 38.648750 and longitude 34.836201. There is even a place that gave the most effective support in making the region’s voice heard, especially in the early 2000s, and I think it was the biggest reason why Ürgüp was included in the list of places to see in Cappadocia.
Combining history and modernity, Ürgüp is the center of traditional handmade carpets as well as a vibrant nightlife. Riding in a hot air balloon is a very popular activity and is a wonderful way to see the beauty of the area from above.

Asmalıkonak
How could a generation who watched the legendary series of Nurgül Yeşilçay and Özcan Dönmez for years return without seeing the place where this famous TV series was filmed? Shouldn’t you go back! In fact, it’s doner, let me add a little bit of exaggeration. Right next to the mansion is the Turasan wine factory, one of the most beautiful wine producers in the region.

Üç güzeller
We are going to 3 beauties, one of the symbols of Cappadocia. These fairy chimneys, which are visited by about 2 million people every year, are actually famous for the legend they have.
Already, Unesco World Heritage Sites are even more festive with such beautiful fairies. According to the legend; There lived a King and Queen in Cappadocia.
The king’s daughter fell in love with a shepherd one day and they decided to get married. Of course, as in his time, the bad conscience King did not approve of this marriage.
Later, these lovers also had a child. Maybe those who go the way of Kralr. Merciless ordered both lovers to eat.
Hearing this, the lovers begged God to show them the exit door. According to the legend, Allah turned these 3 people into the fairy chimney you see. BLA bla. In summary, the entrance to the fairy chimney is free. There’s nowhere to enter anyway. You will be photographing from the hill.

ORTAHİSAR
which is known as the biggest fairy chimney of Cappadocia; is an 86-meter-high castle and is one of the must-see places in Cappadocia.
That’s why we say let’s see while we’re here and turn our direction to Ortahisar. Everywhere is very, very close to each other anyway.
Our location is actually Ortahisar town. Now we start running for the sunset. We don’t have to worry about missing this moment. The place where we can take the most beautiful pictures of the region is Kızılvadi. They say so.
By watching the red and orange colors make the soil colorful; we arrive at Kızılvadi, which is 15 minutes away. Indescribable. Delicious. Wonderful.
Until nightfall, we witness this beautiful moment. If you are also a sunset lover, I would definitely say not to leave without watching the sunset in Kızılvadi in Cappadocia.

AVANOS
This tradition, which came from the time of the Hittites, is still maintained today.
At the same time, I don’t think I need to mention that the Kızılırmak passes right through the heart of Avanos.
Thanks to this river, in order to benefit from the clay soil, many artists; who still maintain the pottery culture that has been going on for centuries, produce legendary works in the region.
Although this is our main purpose of coming to Avanos, we did not know what else was going on.

Güray museum
Our next stop is Güray Museum, which I personally admire, appreciate and admire very much. In Güray Museum; which is the most important address of pottery art from the Hittite tribe, they do not only make pottery.
Phosphorus products, exquisite products made before the finest details of ceramics are in this museum. Even if you wish; you can watch the masters who make pottery and perform the art of ceramics.

IHLARA VALLEY
f you are one of those who have time while coming to Nevşehir; I would say do not return without stopping by Ihlara Valley, which is among the places to visit in Cappadocia Nevşehir. Located within the borders of Aksaray, the valley is 50 km away from Derinkuyu underground city.
It takes at least 1 full day to visit both the city cities and the Ihlara valley. Because, especially in the Ihlara valley; you will spend at least 4 hours to see the historical churches in the area and the exquisite nature. In Ihlara valley and places to visit; Kırk Dam Altı Church, Yılanlı Church, Tree Underground Church, Sümbüllü Church.
After you are conveyed to the valley, you need to go down. As you descend, you climb up the steps. The valley literally meets the rivers. There is nothing like walking around in the four churches of the Ihlara valley, hearing how much the Melendiz stream is!
