Mersin, We think Mersin may be the most economical place to have a sea vacation in the whole of the Mediterranean and Aegean.

Actually, it’s not just a holiday in Mersin, life in general is cheaper. For this reason, it received immigration from Eastern Anatolia and Syria at least as much as its own population. Again, it is one of the summer resorts preferred by Central and Eastern Anatolia due to its affordable prices and proximity.

Girls Castle
Kızkalesi is one of the most known touristic places in Erdemli. Although it is called Erdemli, it is actually 23 kilometers from Erdemli and about 60 kilometers from Mersin. Kızkalesi can also be referred to as a Sea Castle in some places, so if you hear it that way, don’t be confused.
Kizkalesi is beautiful, the sea is beautiful, but the town is overcrowded and of poor quality. I say go for a day, swim and come back.
Kizkalesi is about 600 meters from the land, that is, quite close, so you can either swim or rent a pedalo to go. We rented sea bikes, but there were also swimmers, so don’t worry. By the way, the sea is really magnificent, it’s not that we left our bike there and didn’t come to the surface! You can reach the castle in about 10-15 minutes by bike.. The cleanest sea you can enter in Mersin region. Korkykos Joy Beach Family Beach is very nice, I recommend it.

Heaven Hell Pitches
These depressions were formed as a result of the collapse of the ceiling; of the caves in the Miocene Age (a time period that corresponds to 23-5 million years ago) millions of years ago, even before humanity even existed.
The pit of Paradise is as spacious as its name; like an oasis, and if it is easy to get up and down; Hell is a place just like its name; so creepy and difficult to get up and down.
Of course, like us; you will be content with looking at Hell from the viewing terrace; but it would not be possible to return without descending to the 450-stepped Paradise pit. Hell is really deep. 128 meters, ie 30-35 storey building. The name is probably given because there is no chance of going up and down; and when you look down on the viewing terrace, you shudder because of its depth. Power to the soles! There is also a church at the mouth of the cave; which corresponds to the 300th step of 450 steps.
First of all, the entrances are 60₺ for June 2022. If you buy a museum card, it’s 60₺ and you can enter the asthma cave and Maiden’s Castle for free. There is a lavatory masjid. It is closed due to renovations after the church. It is very pleasant to walk to heaven; the temperature rises as you descend, but when you go down to the bottom; when the coolness comes, you say it was worth it. The church and monument at the bottom are worth seeing.

pomegranate well
If you came to Heaven – Hell in the afternoon; there are many fish restaurants by the sea on the Narlıkuyu beach just below. It is a good idea to warn in advance that before you choose the restaurant in Narlıkuyu; ask the price of everything and decide accordingly, otherwise you may encounter an unexpected account.
I have experienced every season in the pomegranate well for years; but the most beautiful one is in May.

Alahan Monastery, Mut
Among the mountains like Saint Pierre in Antakya; which is considered one of the oldest churches of Christianity; deployed at 1,300 meters; Against Göksu, out of sight; The 1,500-year-old Alahan Monastery has; also been one of the frequent destinations of important clergymen such as St. Paul and Barnabas during their journeys to spread Christianity in this geography. When Christianity was forbidden; the first Christians used to pray in this way, in mountain tops and caves; in more isolated and secluded places. Although a few columns in the monastery have been restored; in general I did not find what I expected. There is parking available. Also, since the monastery is on the hill, it has a very nice panoramic view. Entry is free.
It is an enormous Monastery on a very high hill. How people were able to build these structures here is astonishing as always.
